THE TRANSFORMATION IS COMPLETE!
This 1970 Dodge Challenger E-body is getting a complete frame up restoration. My part here at SCR is the body work/panel replacement, paint and suspension. As you can see in the pictures here there has been alot of work with disassembly and media blasting all of the old paint and rust. plus replacement of the entire L-rear quarter panel, the entire trunk floor and the R-lower quarter panel. Other work involved the interior flooring behind the front seats and a new trans hump to convert to a manual transmission. More work will involve getting all of the panel and door alignments correct. I added box strengtheners and subframe connectors - epoxy primer for anti corrosion and getting an under coat sprayed on. I used some glazing putty to smooth out some ripples, then a healthy shot of some high build primer surfacer. then plenty of block sandning. I then went with a black epoxy sealer as a guide coat the on to a grey for the base for color. More wet sandning and then on with the color [08 challenger plum crazy purple] about 4 coats for proper color match. then it is on to the clear coat. Keep an eye on this page to see more pictures as I complete more work.
